The Center for the Promotion of Citizen's Public Interest Activities runs a variety of volunteer programs. One of them is a system for donating and receiving gently used furniture as well as items related to nursing and childcare.
Acceptable items for donation
- Healthcare related items such as nursing home beds, wheelchairs, etc.
- Childcare related items such as booster seats, cradles, strollers, tricycles, etc.
- Furniture such as study desks, chairs, chest of drawers, dining tables, etc.
*Note: The center is not able to accept machines, electronic appliances, clothing, fabric, or bicycles.
Requirements to Use This System
For those who wish to donate an item
- You must be 16-years-old or older and living, working, or studying in Takasaki
- You must be willing to donate your item for free
For those who wish to receive a donated item
You must be 16-years-old or older and living, working, or studying in Takasaki. In addition, you must fulfill the following three conditions:
- You are either disabled or are 70-years-old or older, or you live with someone who is either elderly, disabled, or a young child (still in elementary school)
- You have no intention of selling or renting the donated item for profit
- You are able to pick up the item yourself at a designated location
*Note: The pickup location will be agreed upon by the parties involved
