Enrolling in school from 2027

Parents or legal guardians of non-Japanese children, who wish to send their child to elementary school starting April 2027, must contact the Takasaki Board of Education in advance. The deadline to do so is Friday, November 20th. Please call them at 027-321-1298.

Children must undergo certain medical checkups before they can enroll in public elementary schools. They are eligible if they were born between April 2nd 2020 and April 1st 2021. The Takasaki Board of Education sent out more detailed information in late August concerning where and when the checkups can be done.
