Benefit for residence tax-exempt households

Households that became exempt from paying residence tax due to low income during 2024 (Reiwa 6), including those who only pay the per-capita portion, are eligible to receive a 100,000 yen benefit from the city. The deadline to apply is October 31st. Please inquire with the call center listed below to apply.

Eligibility

Households must have an address registered in Takasaki as of June 3rd, 2024 to be eligible. Please note that those who have already received this benefit are not eligible to receive it again.

In addition, households that have not yet registered an address in Takasaki but meet either of the following requirements may be eligible to receive the benefit upon submitting an application: Moved to Takasaki after December 2nd, 2023 but did not yet update the address; requires special consideration (ex: undergoing domestic violence or forced hospitalization into a care home).
