How to throw out garbage

There are many rules concerning how to throw out garbage in Takasaki.

Designated garbage bags

Each household is limited to up to 3 bags of trash per collection day. The kind of bag that can be used is:

• Design: Should be transparent or semi-transparent white and not have any writing or images printed on it
• Size: 20-45L
• Material & shape: Non-chlorinated and either square or shaped like the letter U
• Designated bags from other cities cannot be used

Collection days and times

Garbage should be taken to collection stations by 8:30am on the day of. Which types of garbage go out on which days varies for each area of Takasaki. Be sure to check which days are correct for your specific neighborhood.

Sorting trash
