Child-rearing support offices are moving

Until now, residents of Takasaki could come to City Hall to consult with different offices concerning matters related to child-rearing and child abuse. However, from July 2025 these departments are moving to a new location outside of city hall. They will now be located in the Takasaki Jido Sodan-sho (address is Tonya-machi 4-4-1).

There are several offices that are moving, each with different support services provided

Child Support Center

Consultations concerning child abuse and welfare are handled here. Anyone who feels like they may have witnessed child abuse can come speak to staff, even if they are not a family member of the child. Consultations are strictly confidential. Staff can also give advice to those worrying about child-rearing.

Child Development Support Center

This office provides general support for parents and guardians who worry that their child may be developmentally delayed.
