Recycling event

Takasaki holds recycling events twice a year to assist with getting rid of old household objects. The next one is taking place on Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th, from 9:30am to 2pm. It will be held at the Takasaki City Reuse Center (located in Kuragano-machi, on the ground of the NTT East Japan Kanshinetsu building).

Things that can be collected

For free

The following can be collected:

• Pottery
• Oversized items (that can be reused)
• Used clothes
• Old books
• Small appliances (Saturday only)

Please note that items must be in decent condition. For more information about what items can and cannot be collected, please check the Takasaki website or contact the General Waste Management Division before bringing the items to the Reuse Center directly.

For a fee

The following can be collected:

• Old tires and things such as empty fire extinguishers (Sunday only)

The fee must be paid on the day of, cash only.
