Assistance with taking out trash

Takasaki provides a free service to help residents who have trouble taking their trash to the curb. A staff  member is sent once a week to the homes of those who need help; they will make small talk while collecting trash from a pre-designated place in the home, such as by the entrance, which they then take to the curb for pickup. Please sort trash in advance as usual.

A reservation is required; please contact the General Waste Management Division.

Eligible persons

Individuals in households that have difficulty taking out their trash and who meet any of the following conditions:

• Is aged 70 or above
• Has a disability
• Is pregnant or has children aged 3 or younger, and whose family cannot help due to work schedules, living apart from their spouse, etc.
