City Hall branches to cease extended business hours & services

Until now, Takasaki City Hall and each of the branch offices has allowed for select services (Ex: submitting notices of marriage or divorce, obtaining cremation permits, etc.) to take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 8:30am to 5:15pm. However, these services will no longer be offered at branch offices after May 31st. Please use the main city hall office instead.

In addition, the Gunma & Yoshii branch offices will cease their extended business hours. The Gunma branch office will stop its Saturday hours of 8:30am to noon after May 30th. Likewise the Yoshii branch office will stop its Wednesday evening hours of 5:15pm to 7pm after May 27th.

Those unable to come to city hall during regular hours of operation are encouraged to utilize convenience stores or their nearest citizens' service center; a My Number card can be used to take copies of residence certificates, koseki tohon, and select tax certificates. The citizens' service center located in Takasaki Station is open Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 8pm.
