Tax payment consultations

When you have questions or concerns about paying taxes, such as payment methods, due dates, or are struggling to pay on time, you can come to the Tax Payment Division (counter 34 on the second floor of City Hall) to discuss options. If preferred, staff from the Takasaki Consultation Center for Foreign Residents can accompany you and interpret at the counter.

Regular hours

Takasaki City Hall is only open on weekdays, excluding holidays, from 8:30am to 5:15pm. However, due to the fact that many people are unable to come to City Hall during those hours, only the Tax Payment Division stays open until 7pm on weekdays.

*Please note that the Takasaki Consultation Center for Foreign Residents operates on the same hours as City Hall, so interpreting services are only available until 5:15pm.

Sunday hours

While City Hall itself is closed on weekends, the Tax Payment Division opens its counter on the last Sunday of every month. Those wishing to utilize this service should go to counter 34 on the second floor between the hours of 8:30am and 5:15pm.
