Support for families with children

Due to the rising prices of daily goods, Takasaki City has begun offering support for families with children.

Subsidy for childbirth related expenses

Takasaki City will provide a subsidy to help lower the costs of childbirth for mothers who have given birth or who have been hospitalized for a normal delivery not covered by insurance. The subsidy will pay 50,000 yen for one stay in the hospital.

Eligible Persons

To be eligible to apply, you must meet all of the following conditions:

　(1) You gave birth between April 1st, 2023 and March 31st, 2024. It was a normal delivery that took place in Japan at an OBGYN, midwife, or other related department in a hospital (this includes pregnancies that ended in miscarriage or stillbirth if carried for 85 days or more. Non-normal deliveries such as an abortion or a C-section are not eligible for the subsidy).
　(2) You have a registered address in Takasaki City
　(3) You are enrolled in health insurance or a dependant of someone who is
