Takasaki will partially subsidize the costs of qualifying infertility treatments. The subsidy you qualify for depends on the type of treatment you underwent; be sure to read through the details carefully before applying.
This subsidy covers costs associated with standard infertility treatment; this excludes assisted reproductive technology procedures. Eligible persons can receive up to 100,000 yen. The city will review your application to determine how much you qualify for. Couples can apply for this subsidy once per fiscal year, for a total of 3 times.
Those who meet all the following conditions are eligible to apply:
The subsidy covers standard infertility treatments, such as clinical timing and artificial insemination, which took place at an OB-GYN or urology clinic between January 1 and December 31, 2026. Initial screenings and certain other procedures are not covered by the subsidy; for more information please contact the Health Division.
The application should consist of all qualifying treatments that took place between January and December 2026. Once all the necessary paperwork is ready, bring everything to the Health Division or your nearest Health Center. They are open from 8:30am to 5:15pm on weekdays (excluding holidays). Applications cannot be accepted by mail. The application period runs from Wednesday, April 1, 2026 to Friday, February 26, 2027.
There are many required documents, and depending on the situation, you may be asked to submit additional ones. Some of these forms are available to download off the Takasaki website here.

This includes all qualifying treatments and pharmacy prescriptions. Spouses should combine theirs together in one application. A copy of the My Number card itself is not accepted. Please prepare copies of any document that shows coverage, such as an Eligibility Certificate (shikaku kakunin-sho), an Eligibility Notification (shikaku joho no oshirase), or a Confirmation Screen (shikaku joho gamen) which can be downloaded from the My Number Portal site and app. Please black out the insurance numbers on the copies. |

This subsidy helps cover the cost of assisted reproductive technology (shortened to ART) procedures such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). The amount of money granted depends on the stage of treatment. There is no limit on the age of either spouse nor the number of times they apply for the subsidy. For more information, please inquire with the Health Division.
Those who meet all the following conditions are eligible to apply:
The subsidy covers IVF related procedures which took place at an OB-GYN or urology clinic. This includes male infertility treatment.
The deadline to apply is within 3 months after the final treatment took place, regardless of what stage it was. If that date falls on a weekend or holiday, then the deadline shall become the weekday before. The application period begins after each course of treatment ends. For example, if you underwent treatment from March 30 to July 1, 2026, then the final date of treatment will be counted as July. That makes Friday, October 30, 2026, your deadline to apply. Late applications will not be accepted.
Once the paperwork is ready, please submit everything to the Health Division or your nearest city Health Center in person. They are open from 8:30am to 5:15pm on weekdays (excluding holidays). Applications cannot be accepted by mail.
